Faith is the most important factor in our relationship with God. We must have faith that God sent His only Son, Jesus, to earth to live in human form so He could pay for our sins with His life, so we can receive Salvation.
Faith is also a necessity on a day to day basis. The enemy throws trouble our way in many different shapes and sizes. Everyday. Our faith in God and His ability to keep us out of range of the devil’s fiery darts is crucial to our well being and our ability to do God’s work like He would have us do.
My husband and I are having an interestingly difficult summer. Seems the enemy is attacking us in all directions. A crisis arises, we begin to worry, we get stressed, we get grouchy, we get miserable. Sam and I begin to pray and soon the answer comes from God and BAM! Take that you devil!!! Life is smooth again.
We’re going along smoothly and here comes another obstacle course. The enemy saw how crazy it made us BEFORE we prayed, so he decided he would try it again. We repeat the same process. Crisis, worry, stress, grouchiness, and misery. Then prayer and the answer. When will we learn?
The first step to take when trouble arises is prayer. After praying it’s up to us to keep our faith in God until the answer arrives. And not just wait, but wait in faith. This way we remove the worry, stress, grouchiness, and misery. We go straight from crisis to prayer, to faith, then the answer. The enemy hates that! Good! Keep it up and he will eventually flee.
Just know that you can’t handle the trials of life. When they come, and they will, pray immediately. Give it all to God to take care of. And LEAVE it with Him. Then and only then can life be smooth even when the storm is raging.
Prayer + Worry = Voided Prayer
God’s got this! Why couldn’t the Creator of the Universe, King of all Kings, and Lord of all Lords not be able to handle our problems? He can and He wants to, but how many times will we have to go through all of that mumbo-gumbo the enemy puts into our head before we skip it and go right to prayer with faith and having our prayer answered?
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” Matthew 21:21-22 (NLT.)
