Moving on up to the Sky

Lately, it seems as though almost everyone I know is going through stress, issues, or chaos in their lives. Boy, it’s heart wrenching to see/hear that one of my family members or friends are hurting. I’m not immune either.

My husband and I have a bit of stress now as well. We laugh most of the time, but our regular lives are changing. (I don’t like to use the word, normal, because you cant quantify it.) We are taking care of his elderly mother, and Sam is having terrible things happen at work.

When I listen to my four preachers and teachers, I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to me about this very situation. (I need four preachers to teach me each day to make it through….:) I like listening to Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, and ours, Pastor Weir.

I know now why God says, “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.” James 1:3-4.

All of the trials that we encounter, if we ask for God’s immediate help, and never give up the faith, we will grow into the person God wants us to be.

Most of the time when trouble comes my way, it comes and comes and comes. I have to start laughing at the devil because he must know that I’m moving on up….. to the sky…..with Jesus.
